Programme Showcase

The 'Programme Showcase' for Chemnitz 2025 in the City Hall offers an insight into the program year of the European Capital of Culture. Visitors have the opportunity between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM to get to know more than 60 of the Capital of Culture projects. Furthermore, the Capital of Culture region will be presented by the local tourism associations.

LIVING NEIGHBOURHOOD

The main project GELEBTE NACHBARSCHAFT from Chemnitz 2025 creates orchards and snack gardens in Chemnitz. It aims to promote climate protection, collaborative learning and celebrates the diversity of culinary culture centred around apples and fruit.

MAKER, BUSINESS & ARTS

At the programme showcase, the main Makers, Business & Arts (MBA) project team from Chemnitz 2025 will present their work from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, alongside the sub-projects FUNKEN, the Toy Makers Festival, and the Serious Games Makers Days.

The showcase will also feature all nine makerhubs, offering interactive creative stands where visitors can explore and participate. Activities include designing buttons, printing 3D bunnies and Marx heads, implementing upcycling projects, and creating artwork through initiatives like "Art with Gears" or "TRULY DIGITAL: Pixels Meet Paintbrushes." Visitors can also try crafting wire circuits, laser-engraving on slate, and much more!
